Users may encounter some issues with the Westlaw database. The following instructions may assist with troubleshooting these issues. Follow the instructions based on your browser:
Mozilla Firefox (versions 3.5 and higher)
Google Chrome (versions 34 and higher)

Modify Options to resolve printing/downloading issues.
- Click Open Menu (icon with 3 bars)and select Options.
- Click the Content Tab and check the box Block pop-up windows.
- Click Exceptions to the right of Block pop-up windows.
- Type campus.westlaw.com under Address of web site. Click Allow.
- Type print.westlaw.com under Address of web site. Click Allow.
- Type web2.westlaw.com under Address of web site. Click Allow.
- Type next.westlaw.com under Address of web site. Click Allow. Click Close. Click Okay.
Clear Cache and remove Westlaw Cookies to resolve searching, slowness and sign-on issues.
- Click Open Menu (icon with 3 bars) and select History.
- Click clear your recent history and set Time range to clear: to Everything.
- Click Details and check cache. Uncheck the other options. Click Clear Now.
- Click Open Menu and select Options.
- Click on the Privacy Tab, click on “remove individual cookies” and type Westlaw in the Search box.
- Select each of the Westlaw cookies then click Remove Cookie. Click Close.
- Under the Privacy Tab, next to Firefox Will: select Use custom settings for history.
- Verify that Accept cookies from sites and Accept third-party cookies are checked.
- Click Exceptions then type westlaw.com under Address of web site. Click Allow.
- Type web2.westlaw.com under Address of web site. Click Allow.
- Type next.westlaw.com under Address of web site. Click Allow.
- Click Close. Click Okay. Close all Firefox windows.
Google Chrome (versions 34 and higher)
Modify Internet Options to resolve printing/downloading issues.
- Click the Customize icon in the upper right corner then select Settings.
- Click Show advanced settings then click the Content settings … button in the Privacy section.
- Scroll down to Pop-ups and click Manage exceptions.
- In the box located at the bottom of Hostname pattern column, type campus.westlaw.com. Set Behavior to Allow. Press Enter on key board.
- In the box located at the bottom of Hostname pattern column, type web2.westlaw.com. Set Behavior to Allow. Press Enter on key board.
- In the box located at the bottom of Hostname pattern column, type next.westlaw.com. Set Behavior to Allow. Press Enter on key board.
- In the box located at the bottom of Hostname pattern column, type westlaw.com. Set Behavior to Allow. Press Enter on key board.
- Click Done to close Pop-up exceptions. Click Done to close Content settings.
- On the Settings page, scroll down to Downloads.
- Check Ask where to save each file before downloading.
- Close all Google Chrome windows.

- Click Show advanced settings then click the Clear browsing data button in the Privacy section.
- In the box next to Obliterate the following items from: select the beginning of time.
- Check Cached images and files and uncheck all the other boxes.
- Click the Clear browsing data button.
- Click the Content settings … button in the Privacy section.
- In the Cookies section verify that Allow local data to be set is checked.
- Click the All cookies and site data… button.
- Type westlaw in the Search Cookies box then click Remove All.
- Click Done to close Cookies and site data window. Click Done to close Content settings window.
- Close all Google Chrome windows.
