The Lockdown Browser is available from all campus computers, but it may not be actively installed yet. You will NOT be able to install it from a product website as you might do on your computer at home. Instead, on campus computers, follow these steps:
STEP ONE: Check the program menu for a folder called "Respondus." If it is present, open the folder and click the program Lockdown Browser Lab. This will launch the lockdown browser. You will then have to navigate into your Blackboard course again to begin your test.
STEP TWO: If your program menu does NOT have a folder called "Respondus," instead choose the menu option called "SHSU Program Installation Menu." A window will load with a list of programs (this may take a moment). Find the program called Respondus Lockdown Browser Lab. Click on it once, then click the Install button. Wait while the installation procedure completes; it will usually go faster than whatever length of time is actually displayed. After the process completes, go back to Step One above.
