This question could be answered with No, Yes, or Maybe, depending on circumstances:
If you have purchased or rented textbooks, including through the Bearkat Bundle program, then NO: you will pick up these textbooks at the SHSU Bookstore, located inside the Lowman Student Center. Please note that rental books must be returned to the Bookstore as well, not to the library!
If your professor told you a course textbook is on Reserve with the library, then YES: you may borrow this book for a limited period of time. Request it at the Library Service Desk.
If you are looking for a specific textbook, even if the professor didn't tell you it is on Reserve with the library, then the answer is MAYBE: feel free to call 936-294-1618, email library@shsu.edu, or visit the LIbrary Service Desk to ask whether we may have a certain textbook on Reserve or in our general collection.
